Q: This is my first appointment, what can I expect?
A: I will arrive to your home or office within 15 minutes before our appointment time. I bring in all my massage gear, including my massage table or chair. I will set up my table or chair while you fill out my new client forms. We will go over your answers on the form and I will ask you a few more questions to customize your massage properly for you.
If you prefer your own music, wonderful. If not, I turn on my relaxing massage music. I will ask if you would enjoy some aromatherapy and give you 9 to mix and match from. I will then add your choice to the sheets, so that the oils do not touch your skin and you get the maximum benefit from them.
Once we are ready to begin, I will leave the room to wash my hands and allow you to get on the table or chair. If you are receiving a table massage you will be covered with a sheet and blanket. In that case, you may choose to be nude or wear clothing. The choice is always yours. I will respectfully uncover only the area of your body I am working on at a time and will cover each area up every time I finish with that area. Following my own ethical standards and Oregon State law I will never expose your breast, gluteal cleft (butt crack), or genitals.
During your massage I may ask you how the pressure is to make sure you are as comfortable as possible. Please, always speak up if the pressure is too much or too little, but if you are too shy, rest assured you will have a chance to communicate this to me.
Once our massage is over I will leave the room to allow you to dress and wash my hands again. There is no rush getting off the table, please feel free to take your time. I will then pack up my things and try to get out of your hair as quickly as possible so you may relax and enjoy the benefits of your massage. Payment is then taken and you may choose to schedule future massages then if you wish.
